Saddlers Suffer Eleventh Defeat In Last Fifteen

|

The Saddlers suffered our eleventh defeat in our last fifteen games following a 3-1 defeat against Doncaster yesterday.

We were already up against it after the fifth minute when we went 2-0 down – do we actually prepare for a game correctly? A reckless challenge from George Dobson (which was outside the area) and a defensive mishap from Luke Leahy gifted Doncaster two goals which gave the Saddlers yet another uphill challenge.

Josh Gordon poked the ball away to give the Saddlers half a chance but by half time the Saddlers were 3-1 down and any chance of salvaging anything was over.

Gordon should have had a blatant penalty in the second half and Osbourne missed a open goal when it was easier to miss but it was all in vain and serious questions need to be asked about Dean Keates the manager.

We somehow find ourselves within touching distance of a few clubs just above the drop zone and five of our last six games are against teams around us – however we have won just three games in the last nineteen so anyone thinking we will win three of the last six are quite frankly talking with their heart and not their head.

From pissy toilets, to rumoured dressing room bust ups to division between the club and fans – it really has been a season to forget.

We have six games to try and salvage such a poor season. Will we stay up? Very doubtful but the players that have been here for the last two years owe it to the fans before they bugger off to find a new club.
