Having stated that Walsall can achieve the three wins required for survival, of course there will be no margin for error. Last night KB was rumoured to be at the McAlpine stadium to continue his desire to see Walsall’s opponents first hand, not just depending upon scouts reports.

So what will he have seen.

Match report for the away win in the evening clash with Huddersfield Town

Ex saddler Paul Hall denied Huddersfield the chance to go second in League One after a two-goal blast.Hall made it 15 goals for the season with two smart second-half finishes after Huddersfield had run riot in the first 45 minutes.

The Terriers needed to win by two clear goals to return to the second automatic promotion spot and at half-time they were well on course. Now defeat at Bescot along with a win for colchester would see them missing out on automatic promotion and fighting for there play off spot.

On the first-half showing Huddersfield looked like a Championship side but their second-half collapse gives us hope. However
with more consistency Town would have sealed automatic promotion long before now.

David Graham, on loan from Sheffield Wednesday, scored his seventh goal to put Huddersfield ahead but the home side couldn’t convert the chances they made.
Despite been totally dominant in the opening period with Danny Schofield outstanding.

Chesterfield Keeper Roche made a number of outstanding first half stops to prevent Brandon, Schofield and Graham finding the net. Finally Huddersfield went ahead through Graham in the 13th minute after good work from Danny Adams and Schofield.
Huddersfield continued to dominate the rest of the half and were unlucky not to get a second.

Huddersfield lost right-back Andy Holdsworth at half-time and he was badly missed. It is unclear if he will be ready to face us on saturday.

Chesterfield boss Roy McFarland re-organised his side and they were transformed.Huddersfield never recaptured their first-half form and Hall pulled the Spireites level in the 54th minute thanks to a breakaway by Jamie O’Hara.

Huddersfield never looked like hitting back and Hall grabbed his second when Allott slipped a pass out wide and Hall moved forward and fired past Rachubka.

After that there was simply no way back for Huddersfield.

So here we have it, if the Huddersfield team react to this defeat as there fans and management demand we are history. However f the pressure gets to there young players and the team that appeared in the second half turns up at Bescot we actually have a chance. They looked vunerable in the second half to pace so a start for Ishmel and even Kevin James if fit might not be a bad move.
