In total, seventeen Shrewsbury supporters appeared in court following the fighting between Shrewsbury and Walsall supporters on October 14th last year.

A large contingent were seen fighting in the Town Centre before the game which left a police officer with a broken leg.

All seventeen men aged between 18 and 47 have been charged with violent disorder and four of the men face a charge of obstructing a police officer.

Twenty-nine men in total were charged over the mass brawl and the further twelve men, reportedly linked to Walsall are set to appear at a later date.

All seventeen Shrewsbury men were released on bail the hearing on June 24th – before the case is sent to Crown Court.
