Sir Elton John has announced that he will perform at Walsall’s Banks’s Stadium in June next year as part of his European Tour.
The concert will be held on June 13th.
The club hope to extend the ground’s normal capacity of 11,300 to around 17,000 for the event, with temporary seating installed on the playing surface – this would be the biggest attendance for any live event that the Banks’s Stadium has seen!
Sir Elton John said ‘I am very much looking forward to returning to the West Midlands and playing my first show in Walsall’
Sir Elton continued ‘My drummer, nigel Olsson has been with me since 1970 – he just recently celebrated his 2,000th show and we both have such fond memories of our early shows at the clubs in the area!
‘I cant wait to bring our show to The Banks’s Stadium. I am sure we will have a fantastic time’
Tickets will be priced at £40, £60 and £80
