Walsall boss Dean Smith praised his side and felt they could have won against Sheffield United.
Smith said ‘”I thought we were the better team, the main aggressors throughout the game. We had chances to win it.
“It was a great header from Ashley. I just felt they were playing that deep we were struggling to run at people.
“We want to win every game we go into and have had two good performances on the spin and should have more points. I could not ask more in terms of effort and performance.
“We have played two really good teams in MK Dons and Sheffield United. I said before the game Sheffield United are the biggest club in the league.
“We had them on the back foot for a long period. We were the main aggressors.”
Walsall now have a break from league action as we entertain Bristol City in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy Final on Sunday.
