Walsall boss Dean Smith today expressed his joy of getting through a tricky tie but felt his side could have played better, especially in the second half.
Speaking to www.Saddlers.co.uk; Smith said, “I`m really pleased that we were able to come through it in the manner that we did and now we look forward to what the next round holds in store’
“Some of our one-touch football was outstanding and it was nice that both of our goals came from Academy products’
“I felt that we did okay in the first half but lost our way a little after the break and had to withstand some pressure’
“The games are coming thick and fast now and we look forward to our first home game at the weekend.”
