Walsall boss Dean Smith is happy to get they club to Wembley for first time in their history but wants a win rather just go to enjoy the day.
Speaking to Express and Star, Smith said “It has always been about winning for us,” he said. “I said when we got there it would be a super day out for the board of directors, the owner, all the supporters, the first time at Wembley for 127 years.’
“But for us it is about going and winning a trophy and we will be very disappointed if we don`t win the trophy.’
“Yes, it is a great achievement being the first manager to take them there but we want to win the trophy.’
“I want to be sat on the coach on the way home with the JPT on the table.”
“This club gave me my first chance in football,” he said.
“Sometimes you need a lucky break and this club gave me my lucky break.’
“This is a small token I can give back.”
