Walsall head coach Sean O’Driscoll has today given an update (if you can call it that) on the status of Isaiah Osbourne – who is still yet to kick a ball in Walsall colours.

O’Driscoll said “Isaiah had a specialist appointment about a month ago which gave him an update where he is,” O`Driscoll said. “He has to do some work, not to strengthen the knee but the stabilising structures that are around it. For anybody who is injured that is most boring part of it – the operation has healed and you are eager to get out and kick a ball.

“It`s too hard to assess how long or how far off it he is at the moment.”

It seems like Isaiah will follow in the same footsteps as Allan Picken as a man who had the ability to give us more depth but infact did nothing whilst he was here.

We do obviously wish Isaiah a full and speedy recovery but the situation is becoming a bit of a joke.
