Stats: Bradford v Walsall

The Saddlers achieved League 1 safety with a hard-fought point against Bradford City at Valley Parade last night.

The Saddlers took the lead in the twenty-second minute when Erhun Oztumer stooped with a diving header. Bradford grabbed an equaliser on the stroke of half-time with Lund rising alone inside the box and glancing his header past Liam Roberts.

Plus points for the Saddlers
Saddlers have now conceded just seven goals in the seven games under new manager Dean Keates.
Bakayoko – for all his critics Baka worked tirelessly last night and was a threat to the Bradford defence. A goal wouldn’t go amiss though.
Dobson – what a revelation he has been since he returned. Another solid 8/10 performance by the new fans favourite.
Roberts – felt he struggled early doors and it was he and Devlin at fault for the Bradford goal but felt he more than held his own at right back again.

We can now look forward to trips to Sunderland, opposed to Stevenage.

Up The Saddlers.
