Swans test for Saddlers

Walsall have been drawn at home to holders Swansea in the Southern Section first round of the Johnstone Paints Trophy.

The Saddlers lost out on penalties to the Swans at the area semi-final stage last season, the Welsh side going on to beat Carlisle in the final.

In what looks to be the most attractive tie of those available, it could well draw one of the higher attendance figures in what is usually a poor attended round. The winners will look to progress to the later rounds.
Of course it will also bring a return to Bescot to last seasons keeper Andy Oakes, although Andy has been warming the bench in recent games.

The tie will be played week commencing October 16.
