Walsall defender Andy Taylor is keen to shake off the underdogs tag ahead of Sunday’s JPT Final at Wembley Stadium and is adamant the Saddlers can win despite Bristol City’s dominance in League 1.
Speaking to ExpressandStar.com; Taylor said “It`s brilliant that we`ve got to the final and it`s a good achievement to get there but I feel we can go there and win it,” said the defender.
“We know on our day that we can beat any team in the league.
“It`s a one-off game, it`s a one-off day, it`s a final, it`s a different occasion and we`ll go there as underdogs with them being top of the league.
“But within the squad we don`t feel we are underdogs, we feel we can match anyone on our day.
“We`ve had some good results against the top teams in the league so it shows we can beat any team in this league.”
Taylor has been at Walsall for three years and has made one hundred and ten appearances for the Saddlers.
