The Door Will Be Open For Anyone That Doesn’t Fancy Playing In Remaining Games

|

Walsall caretaker boss Martin O’Connor has sensationally offered players who don’t wish to play for the club to inform him this week ahead of games against Peterborough and Shrewsbury.

The Saddlers are four points from safety with two games remaining and unless the gods are shining down on us its pretty certain we will be playing League 2 football next season.

O’Connor has been rightly critical of the players in recent weeks following their lack of desire and effort and he has called on those that don’t wish to play to knock on his door this week.

Speaking to Radio WM and Express And Star O’Connor said

“The door will be open this week for anyone who doesn’t fancy playing against Peterborough and anyone who doesn’t fancy playing against Shrewsbury.”

“I’ll be honest, for me everyone should be wanting to play.”

“If they don’t want to play they shouldn’t be at the football club.”

“We are four points adrift with two games to go, we have got to put in performances.”

Ahead of Saturday we look at the permutations that will confirm our relegation to League 2
