We take a trip to the Wirral this Saturday to face a struggling Tranmere side.

Vital Quotes:

Tranmere Team News:

Will appear here soon…

Player to watch: Ryan Lowe

Despite Tranmere’s poor season so far Ryan Lowe has been the main positive.

The 35 year old, former Sheff Wed and MK Dons striker has been in fine form this season scoring 13 goals in 20 games.

Walsall Team News:

Walsall have no fresh injury worries.

Player to watch: Milan Lalkovic

Milan has been in fine form recently and; both him and Romaine Sawyers have improved their work rate which in turn has paid dividends for the team.

His loan deal was extended from Chelsea this week and we hope he continues to dazzle us with his pace and skill.

Match Facts & Stats

Walsall have won once in their last six visits to Tranmere – that coming in 2009 thanks to goals from Darren Byfield and Troy Deeney.

Walsall have won three out the last five games, scoring six goals in their last four.

Ref Watch:

The man in the middle Andy Haines from Tyne and Wear.

Haines has officiated two Walsall games recently and both were away. We beat Port Vale (2-1) and drew with Sheff Wed (2-2).

Haines has handed out 3 red cards and 4 red cards so far this season.

Match Prediction:

This is a must win game if we want to challenge the top 6, however with us currently sitting 1 point outside the top 6, I think topsixitis will set in and we will probably lose this one.
