Walsall boss Dean Keates has today confirmed he is confident of adding an unattached player to his squad.
The transfer window closed for loan signings last Friday, however, any player unattached before Friday can move to clubs outside the window.
The Saddlers added Wolves youth stars Connor Ronan and Connor Johnson to their squad, however, Keates is still on the lookout for reinforcements.
Speaking to the Express And Star, Keates said
“There is still a possibility that we might be able to get someone in who has had their contract terminated”
“I am hopeful for that one. And if we can do it, it will be a great addition to the squad and the football club.”
The squad is still light in numbers and was evident on Saturday with all of them looking a little tired and leggy.
Walsall made it six games unbeaten on Saturday with a 0-0 draw with Blackpool and a result which saw us cement our place in the top six.
We travel to Burton tomorrow in the pointless trophy before returning to League 1 action on Saturday as we face our toughest game to date – Barnsley at Oakwell.
