Walsall are with three injury doubts ahead of tomorrows ‘Survival Saturday’ game against Shrewsbury Town.

Walsall caretaker boss Martin O’Connor has stated that Corey Blackett-Taylor, Morgan Ferrier and Matt Jarvis are all nursing injuries and maybe unavailable tomorrow.

“Corey Blackett-Taylor is still struggling with his hamstring,”

“Morgan Ferrier is still struggling with his hamstring – we’ll assess it.”

“Matt Jarvis (ankle), we’ve got a few niggles.”

“But it’s about who wants to play in the occasion.”

“If I could still play, I’d love to play in this game.”

The Saddlers will also be without long term absentees Kory Roberts and Maz Kouhyar.

Given the performance last Saturday you would imagine O’Connor will keep the faith in the team that showed so much grit and determination last weekend.

With the Saddlers needing a win you would expect more attacking players on the substitutes bench for our crucial game.

The Saddlers need to win – should we do so then we will require two of the following

  • Southend United to draw/lose at home to Sunderland
  • Plymouth Argyle to draw/lose at home to Scunthorpe United
  • AFC Wimbledon to lose away to Bradford City
