A group of supporters have come up with an idea to improve the atmosphere at Walsall home matches.

Many feel that with the projection of sound and being nearer to the roof – the upper tier is the perfect place to get the place ‘buzzing’

Supporters have targeted Upper Block 4 as a potential ‘singing section’ and will hope to get as many fans in there for Saturdays match with Chesterfield.

A Facebook page (which can be found here Upper The Saddlers Facebook Page) has been set up for fans willing to join in with the campaign and given how a lot of home games gives you the feeling of being in a library, then we are all for new ideas.

Walsall CEO Stefan Gamble replied to an email stating that whilst he applauded the fans for their ideas, he was worried that the idea would ruin match day experiences for fans already situated in the upper tier.

I have spent two games this season in Upper Block 4 and can safely say there is plenty of empty seats in that block should fans want to go upstairs on Saturday.

Please note this is an unofficial singing section – the club have not issued this campaign
