We were humbled to be contacted by Saddlers fan David Pearson who has been given the chance of a lifetime to play against Walsall Legends on the hallowed Banks’s turf on 22nd May.
David had this to say:
‘I have been given a once in a lifetime opportunity by CAT communications to play at the Banks’s Stadium on the 22nd May against a team of Walsall legends including: David Kelly, Chris March, Mark Kinsella, Zigor Aranalde, Dean Smith and Richard O`Kelly’
‘Walsall FC means so much to me as my Dad took me to watch my first Walsall game when I was two years old, he later took me to my first match. I remember at the Millennium Stadium for the Play Off Final. He sadly took his own life in 2003 when I was 14 and I continue to support Walsall in his memory. His hero was David Kelly and to be playing against him is a huge honour’
‘As I live in Torquay with my children it is difficult for me to get to every match but we still manage to get to around 5-10 games a season.’
‘The game is raising funds for the Last Chance Hotel who are an animal rescue charity and is also supporting Kris Taylor`s charity Balls to Cancer and you can donate by coming to the game on 22nd May 7:30 KO or you can donate via my just giving page’
