The Saddlers opened up our 2018/19 League 1 campaign with an impressive 2-1 victory over Plymouth yesterday and the Saddlers fans were obviously positive about the result and the performance.
The Saddlers won the game thanks to Andy Cooks rebound following his initial penalty miss and Luke Leahy curled in a sublime free kick from twenty-five yards.
Manager Dean Keates gave league debuts to new signings Josh Ginnelly, Zeli Ismail, Andy Cook and Morgan Ferrier but it was one of the old guard that got the most praise.
George Dobson got the most praise from the Saddlers fans on Twitter but new boys Josh Ginnelly, Andy Cook and Morgan Ferrier also were praised for their performances yesterday.
George Dobson was voted Vital Walsall man of the match for his performance yesterday with a staggering 57% choosing him on our Twitter poll.
Here are a few snippets of what the Saddlers fans had to say
Andy cook and ferrier look the deadliest duo in the league, ferrier caused a lot of problems for them
Luke leahy still up to his attacking duties
Ginelly was unbelievable, so deadly and threatening

I'd have given it Guthrie I think, but you could make a case most of them. Kinsella did really well when he came on. Devlin started slow but got better, as did Cook. Leahy switched off for their goal but made up for it.
