Walsall FC have today back Walsall Manor Hospital in their campaign to launch awareness for HIV testing.

This is the first time in England that a campaign has been launched to encourage people to get tested and also to raise the awareness of the disease.

There are over 91,000 people infected with the HIV virus living in the UK and 24% of these individuals do not know that they are infected.

Walsall skipper Andy Butler and leading scorer George Bowerman were at Walsall Manor Hospital earlier this week to lend their support and skipper Andy Butler had this to say to the Official Site “As a club we are always happy to support in raising awareness of important health issues. HIV is a serious disease and it is extremely important that people get tested.”

Everyone at Vital Walsall support the club and the sexual health team of Walsall for all their work they are currently doing.
