Walsall First Team Coach Linked With Chester Job

|

Walsall’s first team manager Ian Sharps has today been installed as the third favourite to take over as the permanent manager of Chester City.

Chester have been on the hunt for a new manager since Marcus Bignot was relieved of his duties in April.  They hope to have their new man in charge as early as tomorrow and Ian Sharps is being linked to the role according to the  Chester Chronicle

Sharps future at Walsall is unclear following the arrival of new manager Dean Keates and it is rumoured that Keates is already looking to Wrexham caretaker manager Andy Davies to form part of his new coaching team.

Sharps is no stranger to Chester having played for them in the 2015/16 season.

Should Chester wish to announce Sharps as their new manager then you would imagine compensation would need to be agreed with Walsall.

Sharps has come under fire from a section of supporters following our terrible defensive displays this season.

We will continue to monitor the situation.
