Walsall Hire New Chief Scout

|

Walsall boss Dean Keates has today confirmed the club have appointed Gary Jenkins as the clubs new chief scout.

We believe that Jenkins left Crewe last season to become our chief scout – although we are waiting for confirmation that its the same person!

Jenkins will oversee the scouting network at Walsall FC and will be given information from past Saddlers players as we continue to try and find talent from around the country.

The Saddlers have been without a proper scouting network for some time now and former boss Jon Whitney believed he was able to scout players and teams using the coaches he had around him. Former coach Ian Sharps once tweeted Brentford to see if he ccould watch one of their youth games on Ifollow!

It seems that manager Dean Keates is finally installing some professionalism and know how back into the club and the introduction of a chief scout will go a long way to showing belief to us the supporters that the club is once again moving in the right direction.

Boss Dean Keates is still on the look out for new players having only added striker Andy Cook and winger Josh Ginnelly to his ranks so far.
