The Express and Star transfer rumour page g says that we are looking at another striker release by Orient – Efe Echanomi.
He is only 5 foot 8 and a Nigerian born forward who is only 21, He failed to make the breakthrough at Orient, despite some O’s fans thinking he showed early promise, He missed a vast chunk of his time at the club with a broken leg, after a freak break when he trod on the ball in a pre match warm up against Chester.
He only ever made five starts for the Os, but was a sub 34 times, scoring 8 times.
This would represent a major gamble, but the circumstances remind me of when we picked up a certain goalkeeper who was rejected by Notts County after a leg break and turned up as fat as a barrel….a certain Jimmy Walker so who knows.
It wouldn’t be a signing that would excite the fans though.
