Walsall have bolsted their ranks with the signing of experienced pro Yann Songo’o on loan until the end of the season from Bradford City.
Songo’o becomes our fourth signing of the window following the arrivals of Joe Low, Robbie Willmott and Jamille Matt.
Songo’o is a fantastic signing for a squad that needs reinforcements in midfield following injuries to Jack Earing, Joss Labadie and Joe Riley. Against Stockport at home, it was obvious we missed a no nonsense midfielder that could break up play and who wasn’t afraid to get stuck in – Songo’o ticks all boxes.
We have now got three experienced players in who know how to grind out results towards the end of the season.
One more striker (hopefully DJ) and a keeper, then we are ready for the run in and hunt for a play-off spot.
