Unfortunately due to the actions of a few mindless and now banned individuals who behaved disgracefully at our last visit to Wrexham, it is unlikely that there will be a warm welcome waiting for thetravelling Saddlers this saturday. So just in case there are any revenge attacks planned please be careful.

There is one pub right on the corner of the ground at the Kop End called ‘The Turf’. It is a Marstons pub which does allow in away supporters, however I suspect due to previous events that it maybe hard to get in this time around.

However all is not lost as the Internet football ground guide gives some pointers

‘the town centre is about a ten minute walk away, where there are plenty of good pubs to be found. A favourite haunt of away supporters is the Wetherspoons pub in the town centre, called the Elihu Yale (named after a local man who founded Yale University in the USA). To find it, walk along the road from the ground towards the town centre. After about half a mile go through the double set of traffic lights. After the next road junction it is in the row of buildings on your left, in Regent Street. Apparently Wrexham has more pubs in ratio to the population than any other town in Britain, sounds a good place to me!’

A recent popular haunt is The Plas Coch which is just off the bypass. This pub has traditionally been more welcoming to visiting fans, and is home to a decent pint.

So plenty of choices to find a safe enjoyable pint.
