Walsall Set To Add Highly Rated Macclesfield Defender

|

Walsall are set to sign highly rated Macclesfield Town centre half Zak Jules after agreeing a fee with the Silkmen.

HITC are reporting that a fee has been agreed and Jules will now begin contract negotiations with the Saddlers.

Jules’ performances alerted a number of Championship and League One clubs, but Walsall have moved quickly to agree a deal to sign the Scotland Under-21 international.

Jules has represented Scotland at Under 17, Under 18, Under 19, Under 20 and Under 21 level.

Jules started his career with Reading before moving to Shrewsbury Town and then onto Macclesfield where he became an important figure saving the Silkmen from relegation.

Jules describes himself as “fast and good on the ball” and has said that “I am quite quick and quite powerful, I have a half-decent left foot and I like to play a bit as well”.

A left-footed player, he can also fill in at left-back.

Seems Jules will become Darrell Clarkes twelfth signing of the summer.

It is believed that Jules will sign a two year deal with the Saddlers.

We will bring further news as we have it.
