Walsall Set To Sign Former Yeovil Winger

|

Pete O’Rourke is reporting that Walsall are set to sign former Yeovil Town winger Wes McDonald on a free transfer.

McDonald has only played eighteen games in his career since starting at Birmingham City – twelve of which came last season at relegated side Yeovil Town.

He joined Nuneaton on loan in 2015 where he featured four times before joining Solihull on loan in 2017.

He moved permanently from Birmingham to Yeovil last summer and went onto make twelve appearances for the Glovers before a hamstring injury cut short his time in the South-West.

A few months ago he was linked with moves to Portsmouth and Sunderland however his injury saw the end of those moves.

Darrell Clarke has already hinted there will be two or three signings before the Saddlers head out to Poland on Sunday – will McDonald be one of them?

We will bring you further news as we get it.
