Walsall Set To Sign Oxford Defender

|

Pete O’Rourke who told us yesterday morning we were set to sign Scott Laird has again this morning told us that we are set to sign Oxford right back Cameron Norman.

Norman started his career with Norwich City and went on to become a popular figure and helped the youth side to win the FA Youth Cup in 2013.

After several loan deals at Woking, Needham Market and Concord Rangers Norman moved permanently to Kings Lynn.

Norman played for King Lynn on fifty one occasions scoring seven goals. His impressive displays saw a host of league clubs wanting to sign him.

Oxford United won the race to sign him and he has gone onto play twelve games for the League 1 side.

He played in Oxford’s League Cup game against Coventry City before playing his first league game against Accrington Stanley.

At just twenty-three and having just played two league games Norman is not the experienced defender we need but with Laird signing it’s hoped he can help Norman progress.
