Walsall Sign AFC Fylde Midfielder

|

Walsall have today confirmed the signing of AFC Fylde attacking midfielder James Hardy.

James Hardy joined AFC Fylde in October 2015 from Manchester City on a free transfer.

Hardy’s ability was immediately evident providing a string of goals and assists. In October 2016 hardy received his first call-up to the England C side.

Hardy was awarded AFC Fylde Young Player of the Year Award at the end of the 2016/17 season. In the 2017/18 season, Hardy only made 18 starts but still showed his quality scoring 4 goals from midfield.

He joined Halifax on loan in 2018.

Hardy has scored sixteen goals in forty-four games for Fylde and despite being predominantly an attacking midfielder he can play on either wing.

Hardy will join the Saddlers when his contract expires with Fylde on 1st July.

Speaking to the Official Site on his move Hardy says hes delighted and cannot wait to get started

“I’m buzzing to be here,”

“It’s a really big club with great fans. It is a great stadium and I am really looking forward to getting started. I can’t wait.”

“I met the manager on Friday and everything he said sounded really positive. Once I had spoken to him, I wanted to get it sorted as quickly as possible and start pre-season training.”

Everyone at Vital Walsall welcomes James to the club.
