Walsall Sign Everton Youngster Jack Kiersey

|

Walsall have today signed Everton young midfielder Jack Kiersey on a short term deal.

The Manchester-born midfielder, who is eligible to represent England and Republic of Ireland, signed scholarship forms with Everton in July 2015.

Kiersey was named the Under-18s’ Player of the Season in 2016/17 after an impressive campaign.

He made his debut for Everton Under-23s the same season and his fine form was rewarded with a maiden professional contract in May 2017.

Kiersey’s 2017/18 campaign was disrupted by injury but he penned a new one-year deal with Everton in July 2018 which expired today.

He has scored three goals for Everton’s youth side.

He played for Everton in the Checkatrade Trophy last season against Oldham and Barnsley.

We understand Kiersey will form part of Brian Dutton’s youth squad and also the reserve team as he continues his development.

Scott Dann, Anthony Gerrard and Dan Fox didn’t do too badly arriving from Everton youth did they?

Everyone at Vital Walsall welcomes Jack to the club
