Walsall Sign Former Birmingham City And Yeovil Winger

|

Walsall have today completed the signing of former Birmingham City and Yeovil winger Wes McDonald on a short term deal.

Reputable journalist Pete O’Rourke reported this morning that he was due to sign.

McDonald has only played eighteen games in his career since starting at Birmingham City – twelve of which came last season at relegated side Yeovil Town.

He joined Nuneaton on loan in 2015 where he featured four times before joining Solihull on loan in 2017.

He moved permanently from Birmingham to Yeovil last summer and went onto make twelve appearances for the Glovers before a hamstring injury cut short his time in the South-West.

A few months ago he was linked with moves to Portsmouth and Sunderland however his injury saw the end of those moves.

Darrell Clarke has already hinted there will be two or three signings before the Saddlers head out to Poland on Sunday.

We are expecting a few more signings today.
