Walsall Sign Former Fulham Striker

Walsall have today confirmed the signing of Fulham striker Elijah Adebayo.

His full name is Elijah Anuoluwapo Oluwaferanmi Oluwatomi Oluwalana Ayomikulehin Adebayo – don’t expect a chant appearing anytime soon!

Adebayo is a 6ft 4″ (links to his Wiki page) striker who has been on loan at Slough, Cheltenham, Swindon and most recently Stevenage.

Adebayo joined Fulham aged just nine years old and featured heavily for the U18s in the 2013/14 season, making 16 appearances in all competitions.

He then joined Slough Town on a month’s loan at the end of October, scoring a hat-trick on his debut. Later in the season he took in a similar spell at Bognor Regis, and returned to Fulham from his time on the South coast with five goals in seven appearances. Coming back to the PL2 side Adebayo made 17 appearances for the Under-23s in the 2016/17 season.

In January 2018 Adebayo joined Cheltenham Town on a six month loan after impressing in the PL2, having notched up 11 goals and 7 assists by Christmas. He made 7 appearances for Cheltenham, scoring twice and assisting once.

In July 2018 he secured a second League Two loan spell at Swindon Town, this time for the entire season, but was recalled in January. Subsequently, the forward then joined Stevenage for the remainder of the 2019 campaign.
