Walsall are on the road again and are desperate to improve there away form. After a win in the opening game at Rochdale, league draws at Lincoln and Barnet were followed by defeat at Grimsby. In truth some well below par performances especially in the first halves made for some grim veiwing for Saddlers fans. If we are to continue to push at the right end of the table, we need to put our away form right.

Vital Quotes:

Fortunate for Saddlers fans manager Dickie Dosh is under no illusion about the need to get three points as well as the need for a better performance.
However the players have been uplifted by the display against Bolton and it is true if that level can be taken into the league games we will have a season to remember. A word of caution as all saddlers fans will know, no football match is won before a ball is kicked and if we turn up thing a win is a certain thing we will leave with a defeat and egg on our face.

Bristol Rovers Team News:

The home team seem to have a clean bill of health and also defender Hunt returning to the fold following a spell on the sidelines.
The main issue for manager Paul Trollope, is getting his forward line scoring following the departure Junior Agogo and the arrival of Rickie Lambert from Rochdale.

Player to watch: Ricky Lambert

Last season was in prolific goal scoring form for Rochdale and many expected him to leave for a higher divison, but he moved with time running out on deadline day to Rovers. He was a dead ball specialist testing Clayton Ince in our win at Spotland, we will be hoping that the defence can keep him and partner Walker quiet again on saturday.

Walsall Team News:

Fanguerio and Alan Picken played in the reserve draw at the Hawthorns and may well force themselves into the 16. Whilst Tony Bedeau scored and will be hoping to get into the action. However Dickie may well be tempted to keep the starting line up following the excellent display against Bolton. Although on the other hand at the begining of the month Dickie stated that the squad will need to be used dur to the number of games in the month, so your guess is as good as mine.

Player to watch: Hector Sam

The name keeps cropping up but now he has scored and put in a good show against the experience of Bolton, we hope that he is about to go on a goal scoring run.
