Whilst everyone close to the club knew him but the cloud of mystery was lift on a number of forums and finally on SKY sports news so here it is.

The pacy winger is Dutchman Regi Faira.

The dutchman who is available on a free transfer has also had a trial at league one rivals Carlisle as he seems determined to make the move to England. Born on the 19-11-1981 he has played in the Dutch leagues since making his debut for FC Volderham in the 2001/2002 season, making 9 starts. He shot to prominance the following season when he secured a starting place making 31 appearences scoring 11 goals as promotion was achieved. However FC Volderham failed to hold on to there top spot as Regi only hit the net once in 23 appearences in the top flight. The following season injury restricted him to eleven starts. He was also loaned out to Harlem where his 6 appearences brought 2 goals. At the end of the season he moved to rivals TOP Oss where in the next two seasons he has proved his fitness hitting 11 goals in 37 appearences on the wing. Last season saw him make 25 starts scoring twice.

The Amsterdam born player has turned down offers form several clubs including his last club in Holland. With the wing positions already having Paul Hall, Ishmel Demotagnac, as well as Mr Sunshine he will have to be something special to convince DD of giving him a contract. Of course DD has also said he rates Danial Fox as a wide left midfielder hence cutting Regi’s options further.
