Chris Hutching’s patchwork squad continues to grow, with striker Liam Dickinson being drafted on a one month loan to help the Walsall crisis.

The 25 year old striker comes in from Barnsley, who joins Macken, Gray and Devaney as the Walsall first team is slowly turning into a parade of Tykes rejects.

Of his arrival, Dickinson said he only found of their interest yesterday and is looking forward to getting minutes under his belt. Of tonights game he added to the official site: ‘It’s certainly a winnable game tonight. Peterborough started the season with all guns blazing and although they are a good team, they are definitely beatable.’

He describes the qualities he will bring to the game, saying ‘I’ve got pace and good aerial ability, so I’ll bring a presence to the team.’

Allowing for technicalities, Dickinson may make his debut tonight against Peterbourough United,

So, more new faces for tonights game as panic stations set in for Chris Hutchings. Reuben Reid and Jon Macken were set to impress when they were brought in in August , but Reid has failed to deliver and despite Macken’s busyness, he too has failed to make any real impact. So yet another emergency loanee comes to the Banks’s. Maybe Dickinson will be the tonic Walsall need, but it doesn’t make the situation any less frustrating.
