We finally return home for the next two weeks as we try to end this dreadful run that is forming a huge gap between the supporters and the team.

We welcome Yeovil to the Banks’s Stadium.

Vital Quotes:

Dean Smith – Yeovil are a similar club to ourselves and we know that they will come here and make life difficult for us. They will be determined to get the points on offer too and we know that we’re going to have to roll our sleeves up, stay together and have the supporters behind us to help us move in the direction that we want to go in.

Walsall Team News:

Walsall are without captain Andy Butler following his silly red card at Coventry last weekend. Paul Downing will come in to replace Butler.

We are still without our instrumnetal Belgian midfielder Flo Cuvelier, as he continues to recover from his hamstring injury.

Craig Westcarr looks likely to make his own debut after starting against Coventry.

Player to watch: Craig Westcarr

Is there one to watch at the moment?

As its his first home game I will plump for Craig Westcarr. He’s a little unknown to many…

Yeovil Team News:

Yeovil will be without duo Nathan Ralph and Lewis Young as both continue to recover from injury.

Player to watch: Paddy Madden

What a great name!…Not a bad player either.

Yeovil signed striker Paddy Madden on loan from League 1 rivals Carlisle. The irishman has found the net 6 times in 10 appearances.

Oh what it would be like to have a prolific striker…oh wait we do but he’s warming our bench!

Match Facts & Stats

Walsall – I dont think anyone reading this will need to be told about our current ‘run’, 15 games and counting. All I want for Christmas is three points…

Yeovil – find themselves 13th in League 1. They are an inconsitent bunch away from home with 5 wins and 5 defeats.

Walsall have lost 3 out the last 5 home games against Yeovil.

There have been 18 competitive matches between both sides with Yeovil winning 7, Walsall winning 6 and drawing 5.

Match Prediction:

If the last 15 games are anything to go by we will draw or lose. Im hoping that the Butler/Holdens comments this week will finally make the players realise they are not Barcelona and are indeed in a relegation fight.
