Not what we expected but it will do. Four points clear at the top of the league, so it`s not all bad. It gets on my nerves when there are still fickle fans that persist on criticising unconstructively the team`s performance. If you`re one of these fans, why? What is wrong with being at the top of the league? We may not perform 100% every week, but human beings can`t. Arsenal we are not. Stay away if you`re just going to moan your head off because it makes me sick.

Anyway, Dale Tonge joining the Saddlers on-loan. Personally, when I heard the story, I thought it was Michael Tonge of Sheffield United, but no. He is an attacking midfielder, which is nice, he is young and hungry, also nice, and he is generally a player with talent, which I would be worried about if he didn`t have any talent at all. Who knows, he may not even join, but we shall wait and see if he does and whether DD has made a good signing, as has been the case so far during his tenure.

Bescot to be non-smoking venue. Good! I remember (damn it an anecdote, here we go?.) when I was 12-years-old, I was loud-mouthed and generally violent towards men in black who stood in the centre of football pitches, I use to sit in the previously-named HL Fellows Stand next to the sponsors. I use to get cigarette, cigars, and any other form of poisonous smoke, shoved in my face. Not very nice, it was like having someone breathing cancer into your system. There are more kids around Bescot these days, like I use to be, and to make it smoke-free would be beneficial to everyone. It`s doing the smokers more good than everyone else. I know some smokers will disagree with everything I have said here, but don`t be so stubborn and accept it. I would like to attend a match next season and find that I don`t have to have someone else`s ciggi smoke in my face, not to mention the smell it leaves on my clothes. It`s horrible!
