The local papers have carried a number of interviews with saddlers players this week. The main theme is how great life is under Dickie Dosh.

Scott Dann has revealed that he was concerned that his Bescot days were numbered. Last season he was given a short term contract by Paul Merson, but Paul left and Scott was well down the pecking order, and push further down the list with the arrival of Alan Picken.

Scott gives the coaching staff at Bescot a lot of praise for keeping him going when he thought he might have to look for another club. Mark Kinsella’s advise of keeping fit and coming back to pre season ready to go has paid dividends. Scott is now a fans favorite and has come on at centre back and striker scoring three goals to date.

Whilst Kris Taylor has given credit to DD for making him a left back. Under previous management Kris had played Left and central midfield but resisted the chance to play at full back. Although he shone playing wing back against Hednesford in pre season a couple of seasons ago. This prompted Paul Merson to try a put Kris into a left back role only for Kris to reportly throw his toys out of the pram, which eventually led him to go to Burton on loan and looking to be headiing out of Bescot. Merson goes, DD comes in and everything is now rosey in the garden, how quickly things change.
