This week in League Two:
DARLINGTON boss Dave Penney has issued a warning to his squad, saying that he wants his side to impress him after he admits the Play-Offs are out of reach. He wants his team to earn the right to be at the club next season.
CHESTER chairman Stepthn Vaughan has been fined £1000, after he was found guilty of violent conduct when his side’s loss at Shrewsbury last November. Players from both teams had to be seperated at the final whistle, with trouble extending to the tunnel at Gay Meadow. Vaughan denied the charge, but the Football League found him guilty and fined him.
And finally, LINCOLN skipper Paul Morgan has handed in a transfer request and looks certain to leave the club. He met with manager John Schofield and told him that he wants to leave City because of personal issues. Morgan missed his side’s 1-1 draw at Darlington on Easter Monday. He has been the club captain since 2001 and does have one year left on his current contract. Imps boss Schofield did comment on the matter, saying that he understood Morgan’s issues, but he also stated that he did not totally agree with his reasons.
