Clayton Ince believes that the young talent available to CH next season will help us into a decent play-off position.

The 36-year-old will be the most senior member of the squad next season and thinks that younsters like Michael Bradley and Manny Smith will only help the club in the near future.

Speaking to the Birmingham Mail, Ince said: ‘We`ve been in League One for two years now.

“It`s a learning process and we have a very young team, a very small team, and we`ve been doing excellently.

“It shows the young players, if they really put their foot forward, they can play for big clubs and compete with the big clubs.

“It`s not impossible, all they have to do is work hard and achieve their goals.

“If we play to the best of our ability we could be pushing for promotion or the play-offs.”

In other news, CH hopes to complete the signing of the 33-year-old former Forest defender Ian Breckin on a free transfer this week, if rumours are to be believed.

However, any sign of a deal to sign 37-year-old Benito Carbone seems to have migrated back to Italy…..hopefully!
