Former striker, Craig Westcarr has spoken publically for the first time following his release from Walsall.
Westcarr topped the charts last season with 17 goals and his release yesterday sent shockwaves through the Walsall faithful.
Speaking to Football365, Westcarr said ‘I sat down with the gaffer and we were both open with each other. We both decided it would be best all-round if I look for a new club. I wish them well.
‘I haven’t really thought too much much about my future, I’m very open-minded so we’ll just see what comes up in the next few weeks.
‘I’m ambitious and I want to play at the highest level possible and I’m good enough to do that.’
Everyone at Vital Walsall thanks Craig for his contribution over the past few years and wish him well for the future.
Although we feel he may think hes better than what he is. Aim for the stars as they say….
