Walsall boss Dean Smith today said there’s no blame culture at Walsall following Jamie Paterson’s error last night.

Hot prospect Jamie Paterson misplaced his pass which forced centre back Dean Holden to foul David Kitson and subsequently gave away a penalty and received a straight red.

Walsall had to play the remaining 77 minutes with 10 men and lost the game 1-0. Its our 4th defeat out of 5 and 1 point from a possible 15!!

Speaking to both the Official Site and Express&Star manager Dean Smith said “The players are learning all the time and Jamie will learn from that mistake and be better for it.”We don`t have a blame culture at the club. We try to educate players and develop them into being better footballers.

Im all for managers giving a little lee-way with players but DS has criticised players in the past for errors, so why the change of heart??

Some of the players, especially Pato look tired and this is where our small squad will begin to suffer.

Time to dip into the loan market Deano….
