Walsall boss Jon Whitney has called on his players to start another run following defeat to Northampton Town on Saturday.

Until Saturday the Saddlers had won three league games on the bounce and Whitney wants to get back to winning ways starting with our trip to Rochdale on Saturday.

Speaking to Express and Star Jon Whitney said

“We want to start another run. The Rochdale game is going to very similar to the Northampton.’

‘They will be high energy and they will put us under pressure.’

‘We have to remember the feeling we have got…that it hurts.’

‘Then when something similar happens next week, we can make sure we are better. That is all we can do.”

The Saddlers miraculously find ourselves in 11th place in League 1 despite being so inconsistent until the three wins – with the games coming thick and fast over the festive period, the Saddlers will have more understanding at what the rest of the season will bring.
