Walsall boss Jon Whitney has today vowed to remain positive despite certain sections of the crowd calling for his head on Saturday.

Following his decision to take off Daniel Agyei rather than Amadou Bakayoko it was greeted with boos from sections of the home fans and as soon as Blackpool equalised ‘Whitney Out’ chants were directed towards the manager however speaking to the Express and Star Whitney feels its the way of the world to dwell on negatives and vows to remain positive.

Speaking to Express and Star Whitney said

‘We haven`t kept a clean sheet and negatives will always be dwelt on because that`s the way of the world,’ Whitney added.

‘Everyone will dwell on negatives but I`m going to stay on the positives.

‘We are still unbeaten at home. If the set-piece goal isn`t disallowed, suddenly everything is different.’

‘How can one decision from a referee suddenly make us a bad team? I`ve got to keep a good perspective and a bit of realism about where we are.’

The Saddlers now face two tough away games at MK Dons and Doncaster with the Saddlers just three points clear of the relegation zone.
