We make the trip to the DW Stadium for out toughest trip of the season so far. Big spending Wigan are underachieving so far and hopefully Saddlers can add more pressure on young manager Gary Caldwell.

Vital Quotes:

Match quotes will appear here later.

Wigan Team News:

Wigan welcome Middlesbrough on loan winger Yanic Wildshut.

Caldwell has a near full strength side to choose from.

Player to watch: O’Donnell/Grigg/Hiwula

Three former Saddlers face us tomorrow and all three are capable of winning a match. O’Donnell has had an indifferent start to Wigan with a few howlers, despite his outstanding record for the Saddlers.

Grigg and Hiwula are probably amongst the best two strikers in this league and must be feared tomororw.

Walsall Team News:

Walsall have no fresh injury worries -Isaiah Osbourne is still gaining match fitness.

Player to watch: Romaine Sawyers

Sawyers loves the big occasion and another great performance is expected as we travel to former Premier League side Wigan.

Match Facts & Stats

The Saddlers have won four of five away games this season – scoring ten goals and conceding just two.

Ref Watch:

Andy Haines is the man in the middle.

Haines has officiated six matches this season – he has given twenty three yellow cards and one red card this season.

He last officiated our 1-0 victory over Fleetwood in APril this year – where a solo Bradshaw strike was enough for victory.

Match Prediction:

Given our start and Wigan’s inconsistency – anything can happen tomorrow.

I will go for another tight Walsall victory – 1-0, Sawyers.
