Defender Manny Smith has topped the Vital Walsall poll with 44% as to who should become the new captain, following the exit of Mark Hughes.

Manny Smith, who signed a 2 year deal this summer, has already enjoyed a stint as captain last season.

Second place went to Matthew Richards (23%,) third Richard Taundry (22%,) fourth Steve Jones (11%) and fifth Troy Deeney (0%)
