Saddlers Youth were held to a 0-0 draw against Wigan Athletic at the weekend, after a 100% winning start to the season.

‘We passed the ball well at times without threatening with too many chances.’ Boss Neil Woods told the official site.

They come off the back of overcoming MK Dons last week in the FA Youth Cup and Woods said that the standards may have slipped a little as a result.

‘Emotionally and physically its been a tough week and we’ll take the positives in the approach and effort we put into this game.’ He added.

The youth is the future of Walsall FC and it is so great to know they are thriving!

Up The Saddlers!
