Both managers Michael Flynn and Gareth Ainsworth praised the Saddlers fans following our 2-0 FA Cup win over League 1 side Wycombe Wanderers today.
Five hundred and twenty fans made the trip to Buckinghamshire and were in fine voice throughout.
Michael Flynn said “The fans were class, first class. They sang their hearts out from first minute til after the game. They were a pleasure to play in front of today”
Opposing manager and former Saddlers player Gareth Ainsworth said “I thought the Walsall fans were very loud today and got right behind their team. You could hear them all game and I think Walsall gave them something to shout about.”
For many years we have had to endure mediocrity but the fans have been outstanding. With new owners, a manager we all trust and a squad improving each week the good times might be returning for our outstanding fanbase.
