Trivela are set to takeover Irish Premier Division side Drogheda United.

Here are some questions that I asked @droghedautdARMY on Twitter

Do you think Trivela can help you start to compete at the top of the Irish Premier Division?

I really hope it does a top 5 fight or mid table fight will be great without worrying about relegation.

Do you think it’s the right time for a big investment firm to come in or do you still want the fan owned structure?

I personally think the club had to take a big investment take as all the premier and championship sides are taking that route and like any team you want to compete without falling behind.

What are you hoping Trivela can improve on and off the pitch at Drogheda?

On the pitch I touched on it a bit a team to compete higher in the table, challenging for Europe and cups, while going on a full time status (which will be big for us). Off the field a new ground/ stadium is a must and whatever Trivela has in mind to help the club grow or more community based I’ll easily love and be excited with.

What are your thoughts on Trivela’s multi club model?

The whole multi club thing I’m not to 100% know about but from both clubs point of views from listen to recent interviews, it’s something I’m quite excited about as this could be beneficial for the two of us.

Do you hope there is a strong connection between the Saddlers and Drogheda?

From us touching about all this back in June on personal level I can see a huge opportunity and benefit for the 2 clubs and this could be the start of a hopeful future and success.

Which players could you see making the move to the Saddlers?

Players making the switch from the Drogs to the Sadliers is an interesting one. We’ve got known for bringing in young players and giving them a chance and most of them made the switch to the UK. The only player I can think of that might make the switch is goalkeeper Andrew Wogan. Here we all think he’ll have a bright future and will make the switch the uk and potentially the premier league. Before that stop I would love to see him in front of you guys.

I think it’s just another money maker for trevella I see in no way this will benefit walsall fc .they could have invested in better players for walsall .i hope I’m wrong but I feel walsall fc are going nowhere with this company.and I’m sure other supporters will have the same view.

Good news for you guys. Trivela are all about sustainability and building sound foundations. Dependent on the status of your club progress will be slow but methodical. We were in a sorry state when they arrived with over a decade of decay thanks to our previous owner. Trivela have purchased the ground and reunited it with the club and stopped us paying over £400K in rent each season. That has not come cheap. They continue to improve the structure of the club and improve income streams to build a solid foundation. They have invested in the first team but that side of things will take longer to improve. You can trust them to look after your club I’m sure.
