Walsall new Co-Chairman Benjamin Boycott was today unveiled to the media as he and consortium Trivela Group LLC aim to establish Walsall FC as a Championship club once more but was cautious saying the new look leadership team would bring inremental change.
Speaking at the press conference Boycott said
“I’m honoured to be a director here at Walsall FC. This is a big and important club. On behalf of all us, our true compliments to Walsall, you have an outstanding football club.”
“Our sincerest compliments to the town of Walsall and the supporters. The energy and passion in this town, I’ve felt it. I’ve been in the stadium several times over the past year, and you can feel it.”
“We’re very passionate about the game of football and the impact it can have on the community. We’re very positive about the core foundation of leadership here. We want to assist and accelerate.”
“We’re in full support of Michael Flynn. We want to see the club back in League One and, ultimately, pushing for promotion to the Championship.”
