Walsall fans have taken to social media in their droves to give us their thoughts on today’s news that American sports firm Trivela Group LLC have become new owners of Walsall Football Club.
Trivela Group LLC will take full control over a transitional period. Walsall chairman Leigh Pomlett will remain for four years to oversee the transition.
Obviously fans are excited, nervous and cautious about the new investment, here’s a snip below

Its exciting and low risk, for them. However, careful wording over the £12 Billion. Wfc will be a saleable asset with the Freehold under one owner, if it goes wrong, a buyer is more likely. Need to ensure land cannot be used for other than sport. Been here before with other sport!

I can understand why fans are feeling like the way they are but at the of the day, regardless of who the owner is, the club could bust whenever. Even under Pomlett, the club could of gone bust in 2/3/4/5 years. It's the people behind the scenes who safe keep running of the club.

Its either going to be a breath of fresh air or we will end up going bust . For me im fed up of treading water in the abyss of the EFL so i will prey it works out .can't carry on like we are at present . Bring it on .

Bit apprehensive, on the face of it good but we are a project now that needs a big return on investment as most investment companies want? Maybe we are just a "cheap" foothold in this country to expand their portfolio. Time will tell if it will be a good thing. UTS 💰

It’s exciting to go on the adventure but the desire to buy freehold and all land around and the new company is a bit nerve inducing.
However LP staying on and the experience of new owners with MLS makes me feel bit better.

Got every emotion going on. In my lifetime we have always had a fan as an owner if you can call Bonser that and always felt some sort of security. Time will tell. Its exciting don't get me wrong but approach with caution

I’m excited, I think we are very low risk to them and once the freehold is resolved, we are a pretty easy sell should they wish in the future. The club turns a profit on its own also. Don’t think Leigh would put the club at risk so he clearly fully believes in it. UTS

Really Excited about this but in the back of my mind it can go either way Trivela is there to bang money in the club to take us further up the pyramid in football, or we end up like notts county fucked that's the downfall as long as we don't sign Sven Eriksson as coach I'm happy

Think we have to be excited but cautious at same time, we dont know nothing about these new owners & website that looks like been put together very quickly. But they willing to sort out Saddlers Club & get freehold back to the club is a good start… Spose it a wait n see.
